As President of Sporting Chance, I would like to take the time to introduce you to our projects and programs. This is not a solicitation or junk mail but it may be the most important piece of mail you're going to read today. As we charge into our spring season, we are looking to increase the number of volunteers and participants.

Sporting Chance was started in 1995. We are registered as a North Dakota non-profit charitable organization. Our objective is to provide outdoor recreational activities for people with disabilities. We accept the challenge to take individuals, with a disability, into the field for an opportunity that they would not otherwise have. We have had several successful events. For example:

FISHING OUTINGS - are held year around on local lakes and the Missouri River system. The club has adapted a pontoon which is accessible for wheel chairs.

SPORTING CLAY SHOOTS - are held at Capital City Sporting Clays LLC. The club designed a special shooting trigger devised for quadriplegics.

WATER SKIING - at Nelson Lake. Sporting Chance co-hosts the 2nd largest adaptive water ski event in the nation utilizing the the latest in ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY for water skiing.

HUNTING OPPORTUNITIES - for deer, geese and upland game. Sporting Chance designed a highly specialized off road vehicle constructed to allow two people an opportunity to hunt from an elevated and safe position. The spray coup is called the "Pipe Dreams".

SNOW SKIING - opportunity through the use of specialized equipment.

We are a group of volunteers who love the out-of-doors. But Sporting Chance is only as good as its participants and volunteers. If you have a disability and are looking for a sporting chance, call or write for more information.

We are also looking for volunteers who can give an hour, day or a life time so others can have their "sporting chance".
