Bryan Haag, President
My name is Bryan Haag I am currently the president of Sporting Chance. My family consists of my wife Denice, son Matt and two dogs. I work at the Refinery in Mandan. I started out working with the group volunteering with the bow hunting that takes place on the "North Forty" property at the refinery.
I am an avid hunter and fishermen. However, in December of 2005 I ended up seriously hurt in an accident that left me unable to hunt and fish the way I normally did.
This was a big wakeup call for me. I am one of the lucky ones who can pretty much do everything the way that I did in the past with few adaptations. The realality of not being able to do this opened my eyes to what goes on with the Sporting Chance organization, I just love seeing the smiles and tears on the faces of the people we help with their "sporting chance".

I have been involved with Sporting Chance since 2000 and have been the club secretary since 2003. I have a beautiful wife Jeannie, and four children; my son Seth, and three daughters Abby, Grace, & Jaimie and can't forget one German Short-haired Pointer, Huk, that needs a closer eye on her then Seth and Abby did when they were two. In my free time you can find me in the great outdoors of ND.
I became involved with Sporting Chance while searching for an adaptive means to spend some time in the great outdoors with my son. Our first event we attended was Escape to the Lake adaptive waterskiing held at Nelson Lake. Seeing the smile not only on my sons face but all the other participants and volunteers alike made me want to be a part of providing those smiles to others.

Hello my name is Erich Kroh I am currently the treasurer for sporting chance. I have been with sporting chance since 2002. I have held the treasures position since 2008.
I am actively involved with all of sporting chances events through out the year. If I am not writing the checks to purchase the food you can find me behind the grill cooking up the meals at one of our many events through out the year.
Abby Kasper, Media Specialist
Hi there, I’m Abby Kasper! I have been involved with Sporting Chance for as long as I can remember; my older brother has been a participant for longer than I have been alive.
I am currently a student at UND pursuing a doctorates degree in Occupational Therapy. In my free time I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and crafting. I have been the Media Secialist since 2020.

Hello my name is Stan Thompson I got involved with sport chance in 2008 because of my some Matthew Thompson.
Sporting chance gave my son an opportunity to get his first deer, first turkey. I find this to be a great organization. I enjoy doing what I can do to make this a great organization.

I have been a Sporting Chance Volunteer for 25 years. I have held several of the board positions over the years. It has been a great family experience as my wife and two children have also been very involved with Sporting Chance activities. I have a love for the outdoors and enjoy sharing that with other people that may need a little assistance to get out and enjoy it.
The drive that keeps me going, is the smiles and excitement that you get to see from people you get to assist in shooting a big buck, dropping a giant honker, shooting a turkey, catching a walleye or water skiing. Mostly, just the friendship you develop even when you’re not successful in harvesting something. Let’s go have fun!!!

I have been involved with Sporting Chance since 2000 and have served as the club’s Secretary since 2003. Over the years, I have played an important role in supporting the organization’s mission and helping guide its continued success.
My connection to Sporting Chance began while searching for an adaptive way to spend time outdoors with my son, Seth. My first event, Escape to the Lake adaptive waterskiing at Nelson Lake, left a lasting impression. Seeing the joy on my son’s face—along with the smiles of other participants and volunteers—inspired me to become actively involved in providing those same meaningful experiences to others.
Outside of Sporting Chance, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors of North Dakota. I am proud to share my life with my beautiful wife, Jeannie, and our four children: sons Seth and Jaimie, and daughters Abby and Grace. Our family also includes two energetic German Shorthaired Pointers, Huk and Razz, who keep us all on our toes.

Hi! My name is Abby and I am the media coordinator of Sporting Chance. I have been involved with Sporting Chance for as long as I can remember and have loved every second of it. I am the one who is posting on the social media accounts, bugging you for your updated information at events, and helping make sure all things behind the scenes are taken care of. I am currently an occupational therapist in Devils Lake, ND. In my freetime, I enjoy hunting, fishing, spending time at the lake, playing with my dog, Mater, going to UND hockey games, and travelling.

My name is Jacey Enget. I am the Outreach Coordinator for Sporting Chance. Though I have a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, I do not let that set me back. I have always enjoyed the outdoors and the activities that come with it. My passion for the outdoors and wildlife comes from the many generations of hunters and anglers who came before me. My parents grew up in the northwest corner of North Dakota. My family has a ranch just west of Powers Lake, North Dakota, in the river bottoms of the White Earth Valley, which makes for some incredible hunting land. I love to hunt and have harvested several deer with my crossbow. Without the help of Sporting Chance, this would not be possible. I have a big dream of someday harvesting a black bear. With the help of the friends I have made through Sporting Chance, I was also able to pull a record walleye out of Devils Lake, North Dakota. My faith in Christ and my family and friends make all of this possible.
